Full-Day Offshore Charter

Our full-day offshore charters start at 7 am and end by 4 pm. As we cruise to the fishing grounds (only 15 or 20 miles offshore from Quepos) you will be able to enjoy a scenic, complimentary breakfast as our mates prep for lines-in. Fishing usually turns into catching quickly and as things heat up you can enjoy ice cold water, beer, sodas, and a great lunch.

For those that want to get out of the heat between catches, we have an air-conditioned salon and Starlink system for complimentary Wi-Fi.

This trip targets marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, and dorado.

3/4 Day Offshore Charter

Our three-quarter day charters start at 7 am and end by 2 pm. This trip includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages as listed in the full-day package.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is not included on ¾ day trips but can be added.

This trip targets marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, and dorado.

Cost: $2,000

Our full-day inshore charters start at 7 am and end at 4 pm. This trip includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages as listed in the full and three-quarter day trips.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is not included on half-day trips but can be added.

This trip targets rooster, snook, and a variety of snapper and grouper.

FAD Multi-Day Charters

Fish Aggregate Devices (FAD) are artificial, submerged reefs strategically anchored on seamounts just below the surface to attract baitfish. These baitfish attract a lot of billfish, mainly marlin. Double digit marlin hook ups are common!

Due to the distance to the FAD (80-130 miles) these trips encompass multiple days on the boat. We will depart Marina Pez Vela at 5 pm and arrive at the FAD around sunrise the next morning.

On the ride out we will provide all the amenities as listed in the full-day excursions. During the night you can sleep in one of our 3 beds, watch Netflix, play cards, or just look at the stars.

At sunrise, it’s lines-in! Listen to those screaming reels! After a long day of fishing we will spend the second night at sea. At sunrise we will begin fishing our way back to the marina with a return time around 5 pm. A true bucket list excursion!

Tortuga Island Excursion

Alcatraz and Tolinga are the two islands that make up Tortuga Island. This is a perfect day trip from Marina Pez Vela! The trip to the island is 100 miles round trip. We will leave the marina at 7 am and arrive at the island around 9:30 am.

While en route, you will see some breathtaking coastlines and sea life while eating breakfast or sipping on a cold drink. Once we arrive at Tortuga we will drop anchor and call a tender over to take you to the white sand beaches.

Once on the island you will be able to spend the day on the beach, hike in the jungle, jet ski, snorkel, or shop for souvenirs.

Cancellation Policy

Costa Rica rarely has weather related cancellations, however, they do occur during rainy season. The Captain will make the weather related safety cancellation call the morning of the trip. In the event the Captain determines the weather is not conducive for fishing or there are safety concerns, a full refund will be provided or the client can pick alternate dates if available. It is our goal to provide an enjoyable experience and will be extremely flexible in accommodating our clients, but safety is our number one concern!
